Hello, I’m Kathi Dutton,
Founder and Chief Hive Officer of MindHive Strategic Partners.
For more than 20 years, I’ve built and led people and organizational functions across PE‑ and VC‑backed startups and large enterprise environments. I’ve partnered closely with executive teams to coach leaders, develop high‑performing organizations, and design people infrastructures that support growth. While my roles often sat within HR, my work consistently extended beyond it—bridging strategy, operations, and people to help companies function more effectively as a whole.
Across every company and growth stage, I began to notice the same pattern: as organizations scale, silos form, decision‑making slows, and accountability blurs. During periods of hypergrowth, M&A, or leadership transition, even strong teams can slip into reactive mode, relying on short‑term fixes that drain energy, dilute focus, and limit long‑term performance.
That realization became a turning point for me.
As Chief Hive Officer, I bring an ecosystem‑level perspective to complex organizational challenges, emphasizing the quality of decision‑making, the flow of work, and the alignment of leaders and teams around the priorities that matter most. My approach is people‑centered by design, grounded in operating discipline, and oriented toward measurable outcomes. Rather than leading with tools or policies, I partner with executives to clarify decision rights, roles, and ways of working—establishing the conditions for trust, momentum, and sustained performance.
At MindHive, the “hive” is more than a metaphor. It reflects my belief that when people, systems, and strategy are intentionally designed to work together, organizations become more resilient, adaptive, and capable of scaling with integrity.
